RE: Decision and Summary Regarding Officer Fitzpatrick Complaint

I have investigated the allegations you brought forward regarding a hostile work environment and determined the allegations to be unfounded based on evidence provided. However, in reviewing the facts and the evidence I have concluded that improvements can be made within the Police Department by committing to training and adhering to specific chain of command processes. To that extent I have issued mandates requiring additional training for the specific officers involved. With respect to Officer redacted I have directed the following:

He has ceased reviewing your videos unless instructed by his supervisor to do so;
He will copy on email, or include in conversation as appropriate, his supervisor in any future complaint filed against any employee;
For a minimum of six (6) months he will not serve on your shift.

Additionally, Sgt. redacted, Sgt. redacted, Sgt. redacted and Cpl. redacted have been ordered to complete specific training. I have also directed that there will be additional anti-harassment/discrimination training for all police personnel and that the Department make changes to certain internal policies.
